hey, hey! I'm
I still remember the moment I got the keys to my first home.
I was standing in the doorway of an empty house in Philadelphia, holding a set of keys that now belonged to me, thinking, "We did it." After all the second-guessing, the late nights wondering if we were making the right decision, the home inspection that made me want to cry, the waiting, the impatience, and the sheer terror of signing my name on the biggest purchase of my life....we freaking did it.
Nobody warns you that you will stand in an empty room with no furniture and no decorations and feel more at home than you have ever felt anywhere. That you will call your mom before you even make it to the car. That you will take a hundred photos of absolutely nothing because you want to remember every single second of this moment.
There was just this empty house. Our house. And everything we were going to build inside it. That feeling is what I think about every day when I help first-time buyers and personally match someone with their agent.
Then, after five years, I became a mortgage loan officer because I wanted to understand every single side of the process. During that time, I kept running into the same problem.
People were coming to me completely unprepared. They had no idea where to start, no understanding of the process, and they simply weren't ready to buy yet. And I realized that the problem wasn't them. It was that nobody had ever sat them down and explained how any of this worked. I didn’t want to push people away because they weren’t ready or rush them along in a forced, stressful process. So I stepped away, became a home buying coach, and built something that could reach anyone, anywhere in the country, at any stage of the process.
Nobody should have to figure out the biggest purchase of their life alone. When people have the right information at the right time, everything changes.
Homeownership should be possible for everyone, not just the people who happen to know the right person or stumble onto the right resource.
Every agent recommendation, every resource, every match is made with intention. Because when someone trusts me with the biggest purchase of their life, the details matter.
